For the first time, major business networks joined forces for a two-day meeting: the Business & Climate Summit.

Responding to the UN Secretary General’s call for the private sector to take an active role, leaders of major businesses from around the world gathered at the Business & Climate Summit in Paris, on 20-21 May to exchange with policy makers on the best ways to deploy low-carbon solutions at the right scale and pace. Business is ready to play its role in meeting the climate challenge.

200 days before COP 21, this two-day meeting addressed critical questions: How to close the gap between business and politics? What are the long-term targets? How to finance the low-carbon economy? Can we agree on pricing carbon or flexibility mechanisms? Can we imagine worldwide frameworks?

This Summit, cornerstone event of the Climate Week Paris (May, 18th-22nd), focused on how to work together towards a low-carbon, prosperous and safer future for all.
